who will be appointed as Probationary Officer in JMG Scale I after successful completion of one year
Post Graduate Diploma in Banking & Finance course i n tie-up with NIIT-Institute of Finance,
Banking & Insurance Training Limited a pioneer academic & training institution.

Candidates will be selected through selection proce ss consisting of Online Exam followed by Personal

accepted.
The candidate thus selected will be admitted into t he Training Institute for undergoing required 1 yea r
training programme including 3 months internship. A fter successful completion of the training programme
the candidates will be awarded the POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN BANKING & FINANCE from
the Institute and they shall be handed over appoint ment letters from the Bank and accordingly will be
absorbed in the Bank as Probationary officers in JM G Scale -I and can be posted anywhere in India as p er
Banks discretion. Emoluments of Probationary Office r in Junior Management Grade / Scale-I is presently
in the scale of Rs. 23700-980x7/30560-1145x2/32850- 1310x7/42020. They will also be eligible for DA,
HRA & CCA, as per rules in force from time to time. At present, total initial package including salary,
perquisites and other cost to company will be aroun d Rs. 6.50 lakh per annum.

1. No. of VACANCIES


Note : The number of vacancies and also the number of re served vacancies is provisional and may vary
according to actual requirement of the Bank. As the reservation for Persons with Disabilities
(PWD) is on horizontal basis, the selected candidat es will be placed in the appropriate category
(viz., SC, ST, OBC, General etc.) to which they bel ong. The Bank also reserves the right to take
more number of candidates from reserved categories to fill in backlog from previous years, if any.

Abbreviations stand for: - SC - Scheduled Castes, S T - Scheduled Tribes, OBC - Other Backward Class,
PWD - Persons with Disability, OC - Orthopedically Challenged, HI - Hearing Impaired, VI - Visually

2. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA


A) NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India o r (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv)
a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1
st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently
settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, E ast
African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Repu blic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and
Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Viet nam with the intention of permanently settling in
India, provided that a candidate belonging to categ ories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in
whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in
whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessar y may be admitted to the examination/interview
conducted by the Bank but on final selection the of fer of appointment may be given only after the
necessary eligibility certificate has been issued t o him by the Government of India.

A graduate in any discipline from a recognized Univ ersity.

the qualifying examination on or before 01.06.2016 are not eligible.
4. In case the result of a particular examination is p osted on the website of the University / Institute
and web based certificate is issued then proper doc ument / certificate in original issued and signed
by the appropriate authority of the University / In stitute indication the date of passing properly
mentioned thereon will be reckoned for verification and further process.

C) AGE – (as on 01.06.2016) : Minimum age – 21 years & Maximum age – 30 yrs
[A candidate must have been born not earlier than 0 2.06.1986 and not later than 01.06.1995 (both
days inclusive)]

RELAXATION IN UPPER AGE LIMIT I. Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Candidates by 5 yea rs.
II. In the case of ex-servicemen and commissioned offic ers including ECOs/ SSCOs who
have rendered at least 5 years military service and have been released on completion of
assignment including those whose assignment is due to be completed within the next one
year from the last date for receipt of application other than by way of dismissal or
discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency or on account of physical disability
attributable to military service or on invalidment , by 5 years subject to ceiling as per
Government guidelines.
III. Other Backward Classes candidates by 3 years
IV. All persons who have ordinarily been domiciled in J &K state during 01.01.1980 to
31.12.1989 by 5 years.
V. Persons with Disabilities a) by 15 years for SC/ST, b) by 13 years for OBC & c) by 10
years for General.
Note :
a) The relaxation in upper age limit is cumulative as per Government of India
guidelines.
b) An Ex-serviceman who has once joined a government j ob on the civil side after
availing of the benefits given to him as an Ex-serv iceman for his re-employment, his
Ex-serviceman status for the purpose of re-employme nt in government ceases.
c) All persons eligible for age relaxation under (iv) above must produce the domicile
certificate at the time of interview, from the Dist rict Magistrate in the Kashmir
Division within whose jurisdiction he/she had ordin arily resided or any other
authority designated in this regard by the Governme nt of J&K, to the effect that the
candidate had ordinarily been domiciled in the Kash mir Division of the state of J&K
during 1
st January 1980 to the 31st day of December 1989.
d) Above relaxations are available only if the candida tes fulfill the various conditions
prescribed in the Govt. of India orders and instruc tions in this regard. To claim age
relaxation, reserved category candidates should sub mit a copy of the Community
Certificate in support of his/her claim at the time of Pre-Examination Training/
Interview.
Definition of Categories of Disabilities
:
(i) Visually Impaired (VI)
Blindness refers to condition where a person suffer s from any of the following conditions namely
(1) Total absence of sight, (ii) Visual acuity not exceeding 6/60 or 20/200 (snellen) in the better ey e
with correcting lenses. (iii) Limitation of the fie ld of vision subtending in angle of 20 degrees or
worse.

Low vision means a person with impairment of visual functioning even after treatment or standard
refractive correction but who uses or is potentiall y capable of using vision for the planning of
execution of a task with appropriate assistive devi ce.
(ii) Orthopaedically Challenged (OC): Only those Orthopaedically Challenged candidates who
have locomotor disability or cerebral palsy with lo comotor impairment of minimum of 40% and
only those who fall in the following categories are eligible to apply:
BL - Both legs affected but not arms
OA - One arm affected (R or L) –
(a) Impaired reach;
(b) weakness of grip;
(c) ataxia
OL - One leg affected (R or L)
MW - Muscular weakness and limited physical enduran ce

Guidelines for Persons with Disabilities using a Sc ribe
The visually impaired candidates and candidates who se writing speed is affected by cerebral palsy can use
their own scribe at their cost during the online ex amination. In all such cases where a scribe is used , the
following rules will apply:
• The candidate will have to arrange his/her own sc ribe at his/her own cost.
• The scribe may be from any academic stream.
• Both the candidate as well as scribe will have to give a suitable undertaking confirming that the sc ribe
fulfils all the stipulated eligibility criteria for a scribe mentioned above. Further in case it later transpires
that he/she did not fulfill any laid down eligibili ty criteria or suppressed material facts the candid ature of
the applicant will stand cancelled, irrespective of the result of the online examination.
• Those candidates who use a scribe shall be el igible for compensatory time of 20 minutes for every
hour of the examination.  The same scribe cannot be used by more than one can didate. In addition, the scribe arranged
by the candidate should not
be candidate for the same online examination. If v iolation of the
above is detected at any stage of the process, cand idature for the examination of both the
candidate and the scribe will be cancelled .
 Applicants eligible for and who wish to use the ser vices of a scribe in the examination should
invariably carefully indicate the same in the onlin e application form. Any subsequent request may
not be favorably entertained.
Guidelines for candidates
(i) with locomotor disability and cerebral palsy
A compensatory time of twenty minutes per hour shal l be permitted for the candidates with locomotor
disability and cerebral palsy where dominant (writi ng) extremity is affected to the extent of slowing the
performance of function (minimum of 40% impairment) .

(ii) Visually Impaired candidates
A compensatory time of twenty minutes per hour shal l be permitted for Visually Impaired candidates (who
suffer from not less than 40% of disability) who op t to view the contents of the test in magnified font. This
facility will not be available to Visually Impaired candidates who use the services of a Scribe for th e
examination.

These guidelines are subject to change in terms of GOI guidelines/ clarifications, if any, from time to
time.
Please note the candidates not opting for scribe in the application form will not be allowed to use th e
facility of scribe.
3. SELECTION PROCEDURE
ONLINE TEST

The selection will be made on the basis of performa nce in Online Test, Personal Interview and/or GD.
Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not en title a candidate to be called for written test &
interview. The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidates in advance. The Wri tten

Note :
The questions in objective tests except for the Tes t of English will be printed in bilingual, i.e.
English and Hindi. The candidates shall be required to qualify in each objective test as per cut-off marks
determined on the basis of Group Performance in eac h test. There will be negative marks for the wrong
answers in the Objective Tests.

PERSONAL INTERVIEW


Candidates qualifying in the online test will be sh ortlisted and called for Personal Interview / Group
Discussion subject to the number of intake in each category. The Personal Interview may be conducted
through video conferencing.

4. ONLINE EXAM CENTRES
Tentatively the online test will be held on 07.08.2 016. The Date of examination is tentative. The
exact date will be communicated to the candidates t hrough call letter for each examination. The
Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel or make any change in the date of examination, if need
arises.

5. PRE-EXAMINATION TRAINING – SC/ST/MINORITY COMMUNIT IES CANDIDATES


(i) In compliance with Government Guidelines, Bank woul d arrange free non-residential
pre-recruitment training for interested eligible SC /ST/Minority Community applicants for 6
